About Lahega Kemi

It all began in 1958 with the production and sale of car care products on a small scale.
Today, Lahega is a leading player in the Swedish market for car wash and car care products and products for food and health care hygiene.
The company boasts a modern production plant and an advanced development laboratory.

Nordic region

We have a range of partners in the Nordic region who are represented nationwide in their respective countries. We have a strong sales organisation, thanks to which we maintain that “wherever there’s a customer, there’s Lahega.” And for the customer, help is available in a variety of ways. You also have access to and contact with Lahega’s pool of specialists, from safety experts and environmental compliance coordinators to sales representatives who are qualified to install and adjust dosing equipment and to ensure that your documentation is up to date.
Lahega currently has 80 employees, including 11 chemists. Their specialist skills in the areas of chemistry, environment and technology naturally play a key role in our development, and are essential in order to fulfil the information needs of both our customers and the authorities.

State-of-the-art

We have nearly 50 years’ experience of the industry and state-of-the-art chemical and technical expertise.
This, combined with an ongoing dialogue with our customers and product tests carried out by Lahega in close collaboration with users, ensures that our products are both safe and environmentally friendly.

Our integrated management system, certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, guarantees full traceability throughout the entire production chain. To ensure the personal safety of our staff, we employ the occupational health and safety management system OHSAS 18001.

Lahega by number

Litres We produce 9 000 000 litres per year, equivalent to 50 000 normal-sized bathtubs. Trucks Our Helsingborg warehouse has 3 500 pallet positions – equivalent to 200 trailer lorries. Bottles We fill 1 500 000 bottles per year. Standing one on top of the other they would be equal to the diameter of Uranus’ small moon Miranda, which is 472 km. Cartons We pack products in cartons with a total surface area - when opened up - of 156 km2. Handshakes Our sales staff shake hands with 18 500 customers per year. Ambassadors Our annual customer survey shows that 1 800 of our 4 500 customers are ”ambassadors”. As ambassadors they are happy to recommend us to other companies. Order lines We receive 23 500 orders per year, together containing 78 500 order lines. Cars waxed Our annual sale of wax products for cars is equivalent to 80 000 cars, or 30% of sales of new cars in Sweden. Clear view We produce windscreen washer fluid equivalent to roughly 1 110 000 reservoirs. Healthy Our short-term absence rate is 1% and equivalent only to two days of illness per employee per year. Sponsored children We support the children’s charity SOS-barnbyar and have 8 sponsored children. If all Sweden’s companies and organizations do the same the number of orphan and abandoned children receiving long-term help will be equal to Sweden’s population.
